Perfusion Solutions Type 1: ‘Technical Grade’

Pre-made Phosphate buffered Formaldehyde for STANDARD (routine, classical) stains

Perfusion Wash: Phosphate Buffered Saline: 0.1 M Phosphate Buffer pH 7.2-7.4

Perfusion Fix: For 1000 ml Total:

1) Directly from the stock container “10% phosphate buffered formaldehyde”. A phosphate buffer that has both monobasic and dibasic components is highly advised.

Note that this solution actually has a formaldehyde concentration of 3.7%. The ‘10%’ indicates that a 37% stock formaldehyde solution was diluted 1:9, hence 10%.
