IHC

Applications:

  • Antibody stains are used to detect the presence of specific biomolecules (antigens) in tissue sections by the application of an antibody to that antigen.

Advantages:

  • Provides unique staining to a given protein.

Specifications:

  • Successful antibody staining may require different perfusion protocols and storage (of brains and sections) in different solutions. Consult with NSA prior to animal perfusion to determine the most appropriate protocol for a specific antibody.

NSALabs® offers high quality immunohistochemistry staining services. Below is a current listing of NSA's successful antibody staining (last updated September, 2004). As the list increases the website will reflect updates. Images of some of the representative antibody stains NSA has performed are shown below. NSA's protocol for trials of new antibodies with our designated dilution series continually broadens the offerings we are able to make, including “in-house generated” antibodies.

Please note: Certain antibody stains require special care and protocols during perfusion and preparation of specimens. If you plan to send us your animals, please consult with us prior to perfusion, if possible so that we may advise you on optimum handling. Email tech@nsalabs.com
